About
Hey there! My name’s Taizo, and I’m a senior
at a high school in Los Angeles, California.
I’ve been obsessed with science for as long as I could read, but that passion became specific to space after watching the film Interstellar. I remember sitting stunned in silence on the couch after the credits began to roll, my mind spinning with all the concepts: astonishingly massive black holes that contorted entire planets, wormholes that connected points over vast distances in space,
and the devastating effects of time dilation due to relativity.
Luckily, I found a book that could satisfy my hunger for knowledge.
The Science of Interstellar explained these topics in a way that I could understand, captivating my imagination and fostering my love for astronomy. I realized after finishing the book that there must have been thousands of young people just like me, enthralled after recognizing the grandness of space but not knowing how to take that passion to the next level.
I decided to start Astrocenter, dedicated to bringing you the most exciting
astronomy news and discoveries connected to the movies, TV shows, and books you love. My mission is to help all those interested in space deepen their knowledge and embolden them to pursue their passion.
I’ll be publishing blog posts once a month, breaking down the science
behind your favorite science fiction works. I’ll also be posting resources for further research and more general sci-fi/astronomy-related topics.
I’m looking forward to hearing from all of you, and I'll see you in the next one!
